Before You Buy: A Crash Course On Polaris Ranger Lighting and Electrical

While we make it as easy as possible to install and use your UTV lighting setups, accents, and other accessories with these lighting and electrical kits, that doesn’t mean you don’t need to carefully consider exactly what you need. For example, brightness, the type of light(s) you need, switch setups, wiring, and other factors should all affect what you’re looking for. Read on for a closer look.

Brightness Makes or Breaks the Experience

“All lights are bright, right? Pshh, that was easy.” Yeah, it’s not quite that simple when you’re in the world of Polaris Ranger lighting kits. Considering your average use case and/or riding environment (including time of day) is key here. For example, if you find yourself trucking through the trail, field, or what have you late at night, you may want to prioritize lumen output. However, if you need something low-key to give you a subtle visibility boost, you may prefer smaller spotlights, light strips, or even a headlight adjustment.

Mounting and Wiring Matter, and Here’s Why

It’s important to note that some light bars and accent lights will require you to have specific mounting brackets or adapters, and not all UTV specs may be compatible with said brackets and adapters. It’s highly recommended you confirm compatibility, then, before investing any more time and/or money into a system that may not fit your side by side. Moving on to wiring, the your Ranger’s lighting system is only as good as its wiring, and we mean that - skimping on this step will tank your durability and functionality. This is why it’s key to make sure you have all the connectors and other components you need to do the job right the first time.

Know Your Lights and Choose Accordingly

Finally, different kinds of Polaris Ranger aftermarket lights can create dramatically different user experiences. For example, a roof-mounted light bar or spotlight will typically emit light in a more focused configuration to allow for peak illumination in low-light conditions. On the other hand, flood lights and cube lights emit a more diffuse beam of light, allowing you to illuminate a larger area. Whatever you go with, Everything Polaris Ranger is here to get you what you need to level up your experience.
