Gen 3 Portals are Geared for All
Your Ranger 900 is a workhorse, but we all know it’s got an untapped wild side. That’s where SuperATV’s 6” GDP Portal Gear Lift comes in. When you get crazy ground clearance and a 30 or 45% gear reduction that boosts your power to the ground®, you can turn your mild Ranger into a wild party wagon. Ride the way you want, and let GDP take you where you couldn’t go before.
GDP—the Most Trusted Name in Portals
More riders roll on GDP than any other portal system. That means there are thousands of riders in trails and parks all over the world counting on GDP to make their weekend awesome. With so many miles on portals, you can bet they’re real-world proven.
Perfect for Mud
With portals, the deeper you go, the more your torque will impress you. That gear reduction will push you through anything, and the 6 inches of extra ground clearance will keep you from getting swamped.
A Gear Reduction That Protects Your Drivetrain
Portals put the gear reduction in the hub instead of the transmission, so it reduces the stress on your axles, differential, prop shaft, and transmission. That means your components will last longer than a stock machine. Yes, really. Ride hard—your machine won’t mind.

Unmatched Gear Material
The most important part of a gear lift is, of course, the gears. We went all out to deliver the most premium, top-of-the-line gears we could. They’re precision ground to ensure perfect meshing which results in quieter portals even when you ride hard. Plus, they’re made of the toughest gear material we could get—9310 alloy steel.
Stronger Housings by Design
We know a thing or two about making housings—we’ve made thousands of them after all. We have the design experience to make housings that can handle the internal and external torque loads and huge hits you get from normal riding. So whether you choose beautiful, USA-made billet aluminum or cast aluminum housings, you know you’re getting the best you can get.
The Strongest Portal Backing Plates You Can Get
We start with an advanced steel alloy that’s stronger than chromoly, then we make it 5/16” thick. What does that get you? The strongest portal backing plates on the planet. These brutes are beefed up with hand-welded gussets, strategic stiffening bends, and forged pivot blocks. Don’t settle for less—we sure didn’t.
Advanced Gaskets and Seals
Whether you go with cast or billet, both housings use:
Bearings That Rock
We didn’t forget about the bearings because we know that a portal box is only strong if every part of it is strong. Our output bearing is a double-angular contact bearing that’s built to handle you plowing into rocks and stumps without wearing out. For the idler gear, we use roller bearings that are much stronger than standard bearings because they have to deal with massive torque. Every last detail is built to be abused.
Universal Hubs and Slotted Rotors
Our precision-ground, stainless steel rotors are slotted to stay cool so you get the braking power you need when you need it. Our universal hubs are convenient and practical with 4/156, 4/137, 4/115, and 4/110 bolt patterns and lugs—you can fit wheels built for just about any side-by-side in the world on these hubs. We invented the tapered output shaft that our hubs attach to. It provides a more secure lock that won’t wobble or wear over time.
